Minot sweeps Jamestown

The hometown crowds at Jerry Meyer have been getting used to seeing Blue Jay sweeps, but Minot played the role of the spoiler on Saturday, just days after the Blue Jay boys climbed up to No. 3 in the state polls. The Majettes used the long ball to bury the Blue Jay girls 51-35, while the Minot boys used an early second-half surge to deal the Blue Jays a very rare 66-57 West Region loss at Jerry Meyer Arena. The Blue Jays, who haven’t been swept since the last time they met up with Minot back on Dec. 16, will hit the road to play Mandan next week. The JHS boys will play Tuesday night and the girls will play Thursday night.
