Top 5s in ‘B’ polls unchanged

There are no changes in the top 5 in either of the Class B boys’ or girls’ basketball polls this week.

Unbeaten North Star (13-0) continues to roll along and is a unanimous No. 1 on the boys’ side. LaMoure has the most wins in the state with 15 and holds firm at No. 3.

Central Cass is the other unbeaten. They play at the Jamestown Civic Center today against Linton-Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock, which has won 11 straight. The Lions got votes.

Maple Valley is ninth. Hatton-Northwood, Four Winds-Minnewaukan and Griggs County Central got votes.

Central Cass got all 13 first-place votes in the girls’ poll.

Carrington — its only loss to the No. 1 Squirrels — is still second.

Midkota got votes. So did Linton-Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock, which also plays today at the Civic Center against Central Cass.
