Eastern ND could have warmest winter on record
The Red River Valley of eastern North Dakota could be on its way to its warmest fall and winter on record.
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — The Red River Valley of eastern North Dakota could be on its way to its warmest fall and winter on record.
The Grand Forks Herald reports that the average daily temperature between Sept. 1 and Jan. 29 in Grand Forks has been nearly 35 degrees, and in Fargo just over 38 degrees. The National Weather Service says both marks break the previous records by more than a degree.
Forecaster Mark Ewens says that's impressive over a 150-day period.
