MINOT, N.D. (AP) — Work is to begin this week on the replacement of the floor at the All Seasons Arena on the North Dakota State Fairgrounds in Minot.
The new floor was made necessary when the ice-making system in the current floor failed last November after 20 years of use.
The Minot Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/AE0wSu ) that the arena board recently awarded a $700,000 flooring contract to Minnesota-based Commercial Refrigeration Systems. The contract for new boards and glass around the rink will be awarded in a few weeks. The total cost of the project is estimated at about $900,000.
