A total of 50 people volunteered to donate blood and 40 were able to give during the Anne Carlsen Center’s Jan. 20 blood drive.
Ten people gave blood on the automated 2RBC machine, which collects two units of red blood cells during the donation, so a total of 50 products were collected. One of the donors gave for the first time.
Sheila Ova coordinated the drive, and Val Nelson and the ACC kitchen and maintenance staff assisted with recruiting donors, publicity, providing refreshments and registering donors.
