Oakes’ standout Warren surpasses 1,000 points

Oakes junior standout Nicole Warren recently surpassed the 1,000-point mark. Warren, a varsity regular since her eighth-grade year, went over 1,000 during the Tornadoes’ game against Barnes County North on Jan. 24.

Oakes junior standout Nicole Warren recently surpassed the 1,000-point mark.

Warren, a varsity regular since her eighth-grade year, went over 1,000 during the Tornadoes’ game against Barnes County North on Jan. 24. She became the first junior at Oakes to achieve the mark.

To date, she has 1,094 career points, third-most in school history. The record is 1,220.

She also leads the Tornadoes in rebounding (143), assists (72) and steals (53) to go along with her 304 points.
