Minot getting nearly $2M to upgrade sewer system

Minot is getting nearly $2 million to upgrade and expand its sewer system.

MINOT, N.D. (AP) — Minot is getting nearly $2 million to upgrade and expand its sewer system.

North Dakota's congressional delegation says the money has been allocated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Sens. Kent Conrad and John Hoeven and Rep. Rick Berg say the sewer project is important not only to the city's recovery from last year's Souris River flood but to its ability to handle a population increase tied to the booming oil patch.
