A 56-year-old Rolla, N.D., man died Sunday from injuries sustained Saturday when the van he was driving entered a ditch and struck trees, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at 11:15 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Ransom County Road 54 and N.D. Highway 27, nine miles east of Lisbon, N.D.
The man, whose name was not immediately released, was southbound on the county road en route to Lisbon, when the 2003 Dodge Caravan he was driving failed to stop at the stop sign intersection with N.D. The driver was airlifted to Essential Hospital in Fargo and died from his injuries Sunday, the patrol said. He was not wearing a seat belt.
