Jamestown flights will be on larger planes
Great Lakes Aviation will use 32-seat planes rather than 19-seaters for its planned flights between Jamestown and Minneapolis.
JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) — Great Lakes Aviation will use 32-seat planes rather than 19-seaters for its planned flights between Jamestown and Minneapolis.
The EMB-120 plane nicknamed the Brasilia has a galley, a lavatory and a beverage service, and unlike the Beech 1900 is staffed by a flight attendant. Jamestown Regional Airport Authority Chairman Jim Boyd tells The Jamestown Sun that the upgrade in planes is welcome news.
Great Lakes will offer twice-daily round-trip flights between Jamestown and Minneapolis starting in mid-March. The flights will be subsidized under the Essential Air Service program.
