Unbeaten and third-ranked LaMoure survived a tough test from South Border in the opening gamem of the Region 3 Tournament Monday afternoon.
The Loboes (22-0) outscored the Mustangs 13-3 in overtime to move into the semifinals Tuesday night with a hard-fought 55-45 win.
Jared Meiklejohn scored 8 of his game-high 19 points in overtime to lift the Loboes, who trailed 35-30 after three quarters.
Michael Jacobson, the junior star for South Border, fouled out with 4:30 left in regulation. He still had 11 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.
