Olson, Schaack named to All-West Region team

The Bismarck Blizzard had five players named all-region and Minot had four.
Schaack led the team with 44 points after scoring 32 goals — fourth most in the state — and 12 assists.
Olson tied for second on the team with 21 points after recording 11 assists and 10 and goals.
The Blue Jays will open the state tournament on Thursday as the No. 7 seed and will kick-off the tournament against No. 2 Fargo North for the third straight year.
The puck is scheduled to drop at 5 p.m. on the Ralph Engelstad Arena Olympic Ice.
No Blue Jay boys were named to the all-West Region team, which was primarily made up of Bismarck Century players.
The Patriots had five players named to the 12-player team.
Bottineau’s Logan Millican was named the West Region’s Senior of the Year and Braves coach David Hoff was named the West’s Coach of the Year.
