Fundraising event brings in $30,000

The 24 hour online fundraising event Giving Hearts Day brought in $30,000 for the Anne Carlsen Center in Jamestown.

The ACC was one of 140 charities selected by Dakota Medical Foundation and Impact Foundation to participate in the 2012 Giving Hearts Day. Donations made online via the ImpactGiveBack website on Feb. 14 totaled more than $30,000. More than 300 contributions were made and the ACC succeeded in securing the amount needed for a matching donation from DMF.

In addition to North Dakota, contributions came in from 15 other states including Minnesota, Missouri, Arizona, California and Alaska. Funds raised from this important event will be used for medical equipment.
