2 accused of leaving toddler alone in motel room
Two people face charges after allegedly leaving a 2-year-old child alone in a Devils Lake motel room.
DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (AP) — Two people face charges after allegedly leaving a 2-year-old child alone in a Devils Lake motel room.
Authorities accuse 22-year-old Jodie Blackboy of Warwick and 38-year-old Martin Thumb of Devils Lake of locking the toddler in a room, going to the motel bar and getting drunk last Thursday.
The two are charged with felony child abuse or neglect. Telephone listings for them could not immediately be found. WDAZ-TV reports that the child was turned over to social services officials.
