Crash on icy southwest ND highway kills 1, hurts 3
BOWMAN, N.D. (AP) — A 21-year-old Williston man is dead after a crash on an icy highway in southwest North Dakota.

The Highway Patrol says Arthur Meyer was a passenger in a sport utility vehicle that spun out of control while trying to pass a semitrailer on U.S. Highway 85 and collided with the rear of the semi. The crashed happened about 11 miles north of Bowman about 8:30 a.m. Thursday.
Three other people in the SUV were injured and taken to hospitals in Bowman and Bismarck. The semi driver was not hurt.
