FARGO (AP) — Hundreds of people gathered on the North Dakota State University campus in Fargo to remember four Minnesota students who died in a traffic crash.

It was standing-room only in the Memorial Union Ballroom on Thursday night during a memorial service for 18-year-olds Lauren Peterson of Prior Lake, Megan Sample of Rogers and Danielle Renninger of Excelsior; and 19-year-old Jordann Playle of Elk River.

After the service, students filed outside for a candlelight vigil. A moment of silence also was observed at Thursday night’s men’s basketball game.
