The Dickinson State University campus reopened at about noon today after halls were evacuated because of an apparent bomb threat, law enforcement said.
Stark County Sheriff’s Office confirmed there was a threat at the university at about 10:15 this morning.
May Hall, Stickney Hall and Kleinfelter Hall were evacuated, DSU Director of University Relations Marie Moe said. Everyone was told to go to the Student Center. Classes are back in session at 1 p.m., Moe told The Press earlier this morning.
The SCSO, Dickinson Police Department, North Dakota Highway Patrol and Dickinson Fire Department are on scene.
Midterms are this week and a student, who would not give her name, said she was on the second floor in May Hall when an official told the class to go to the Student Center.
A deputy told a reporter on scene that “her life was in danger.”
