Eastern ND county woos people from the oil patch
Traill County in eastern North Dakota is trying to woo people who have grown dissatisfied with the lifestyle in the booming oil patch in the western part of the state.
HILLSBORO, N.D. (AP) — Traill County in eastern North Dakota is trying to woo people who have grown dissatisfied with the lifestyle in the booming oil patch in the western part of the state.
The Grand Forks Herald reports that a three-month marketing campaign launched this week targets people who are affected by the rising cost of living in the region, those who feel unsafe and those who are no longer satisfied with the lifestyle and culture.
Traill County Economic Development Commission head Melissa Beach says the campaign involves website, classified and radio ads that tout the eastern county's housing, jobs and family atmosphere.
