Feb. 26: 3:29 p.m., the fire department regional hazardous materials team was dispatched to respond to the main fire station. The North Dakota Highway Patrol was on the scene at Interstate 94 mile marker 226 with a tractor/trailer that had tipped over with a chemical that was leaking. Firefighters assisted by phone, with no response. Time out: 1 hour.

Feb. 27: 3:46 a.m., fire department responded to 464 Second St. SW (single-family dwelling) to a report of a fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and the cause remains under investigation. No firefighter injuries. Time out: 2 hours, 20 minutes.

Feb. 28: 1:04 a.m., the ready squad responded to 222 First Ave. S (multi-family dwelling) to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke and fire but none was found. Cause: system malfunction. Fire alarm was reset. Time out: 55 minutes.

Feb. 29: 3:20 p.m., ready squad responded to 114 Third St. NW (multi-family dwelling) to investigate smoke odor. Firefighters checked for smoke and fire but none was found. Cause: odor from the Vining Oil incident. Time out: 15 minutes.
