Mandan rallies past JHS girls

The Jamestown High School girls' basketball team let a 16-point second-half lead slip away and lost to Mandan 65-64 in a state-tournament qualifying game at the West Region tournament Saturday in Bismarck.

The Jamestown High School girls' basketball team let a 16-point second-half lead slip away and lost to Mandan 65-64 in a state-tournament qualifying game at the West Region tournament Saturday in Bismarck.

The Blue Jays led 37-26 at halftime, but couldn't finish it off, giving up the lead to the second-seeded Braves, who beat JHS for the third time this season.

Julie Fuchs led the Blue Jays with 20 points as they finished the season at 8-14.
