Pee Wee B wins tournament
The Jamestown-Valley City Prowl Pee Wee B hockey team placed first at the Pee Wee B state tournament in Rugby March 2-4.
The Jamestown-Valley City Prowl Pee Wee B hockey team placed first at the Pee Wee B state tournament in Rugby March 2-4.
They opened with a 7-2 win over the Rugby Icehawks. Connor Fuchs (2), Bryce Nelson (2), Donovan Ask, Baylee Hatlewick and Haley Schnaidt scored goals. Assists went to Ask, Fuchs, Braxton Heinle, Braeden Kohn, Elly Milender and Nelson. Matt Schneider had 15 saves in goal.
Tommy Dion, Fuchs, Milender and Parker Stockert scored as they beat the Williston Flyers 4-0. Heinle, Kohn and Schnaidt got assists.
In the championship game Fuchs, Heinle, Kohn, Nelson and Stockert tallied goals in a 5-4 win over the Fargo Angels. Fuchs (2), Noah Cabezas, Tanner Hillerud, Milender, Nelson and Stockert got assists. Schneider turned away 24 shots.
