Fargo sales tax extension might go to voters
Fargo city commissioners are moving forward with plans to bring a half-cent city sales tax extension to voters this summer.
FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Fargo city commissioners are moving forward with plans to bring a half-cent city sales tax extension to voters this summer.
The infrastructure tax in North Dakota's largest city expires in June, and Mayor Dennis Walaker is leading a push to have it extended to pay for more infrastructure improvements and to further the city's flood protection efforts.
City commissioners have voted to have the city attorney draft a resolution asking for the extension. The commission will consider it no later than its April 2 meeting.
