Garden club to meet Tuesday
Prairie Rose Garden Club will begin 2012 with “Worms and Compost.” The club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church at the corner of Third Street and Second Avenue Southeast.
Prairie Rose Garden Club will begin 2012 with “Worms and Compost.” The club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church at the corner of Third Street and Second Avenue Southeast.
Jan Wright raises worms for compost. She will teach what she has discovered is the most effective way to raise worms in North Dakota. Wright will talk about what to use and also show a simple way to try worm composting. She has used worm compost for a few years and she combines this with the traditional compost. Wright will also talk about her results composting in North Dakota.
The club’s theme for this year is “Garden Club Enriches Friendships.” The meetings are open to the public and begin with a program followed by a coffee break.
