DSU's Roosevelt collection reaches milestone

Dickinson State University's Theodore Roosevelt Digital Collection has reached 10,000 items.

DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) — Dickinson State University's Theodore Roosevelt Digital Collection has reached 10,000 items.

The collection housed at the school's Theodore Roosevelt Center includes everything from letters to photographs to diary entries. It can be found online at http://www.theodorerooseveltcenter.org , which was launched last November.

The digital collection is a project of DSU, the Library of Congress, Harvard College Library and the National Park Service. Project manager Sharon Kilzer says more items are being added each week.

Roosevelt hunted and ranched in the North Dakota Badlands before going on to become president.
