Jamestown College women’s soccer has added three players that coach Phillip Bohn hopes will bolster the team’s athleticism and defense.
Bailey Boraas of St. Paul, Minn., Kirstine Adamson of Taylorsville, Utah and Makenzie Wegner of Polson, Mont., have signed with the Jimmies.
Boraas, a defender from Concordia Academy Roseville, was a 4-year letterwinner and team captain as a senior. Also active in basketball and track, she played club soccer for North East Soccer Association.
“Bailey is a welcome addition to our program. She understands the game well and has a ton of potential,” Bohn said. “Having recruited her older brother and getting to know her family, we know we’re getting a first-class person which is very important to us.”
The daughter of Tim and Tammy Boraas, she plans to study pre-physical therapy at JC.
Adamson, a midfielder from Cottonwood High School, was a team captain and all-first team Region 1 selection. She plays club soccer for Utah Soccer Alliance under-18s.
“Kirstine’s speed and skill on the wing will really help add another element to our game,” Bohn said. “Her ability to run at defenders one-on-one and serve the ball from the flank will help us be more dangerous and add width to our attack.”
The daughter of Bryan and Michelle Adamson, she plans to study exercise science at JC.
Wegner, a defender from Polson High School, was a 4-year letterwinner and all-conference selection as a senior. She was chosen to play in the Montana Shodair Senior All-Star Game.
“Makenzie is a physical defender that reads the game well,” Bohn said. “We believe she has the potential to develop into a really solid collegiate player and provides us another solid defender to improve that unit.”
