Rotary events noted at meeting

The March 6 Rotary meeting was called to order and presided over by President Doug Frohlich. Tim Ottmar gave the invocation. Marv Tokach led the music and Blaine Bergstedt collected “Happy Dollars” for Rotary projects.

Frohlich reminded members of the district conference April 12-14 in Cloquet, Minn. Other announcements were the wine tasting event and silent auction April 19 at Gladstone Inn & Suites. Members are encouraged to attend the Ag Luncheon at noon Wednesday at the North Dakota Farmers Union. This can be used as a makeup meeting.

For Rotarians who would like to become Paul Harris members, the club will give the first 100 points with $100 toward the fellowship and another 100 points once 500 points is reached.

Visiting students of the month were Jana Lynch and Beth Jensen.

Austin Martin, member of the Jamestown Rotary Club and Boy Scout District executive, gave the program. Martin travels the rodeo circuit on the weekends as a professional bareback rider in the PRCA rodeo circuit. He has received several trophies and awards as a bareback rider.

Carrie Orn and Shirley Jackson are in charge of the program today. Nick Schmidt will give the invocation. Song leader is Gail Martin and Ottmar is sergeant at arms.
