BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota's Agriculture Department is kicking off a series of public meetings around the state to talk about proposed changes to pesticide rules.

The meetings get under way Tuesday in Bismarck and wrap up April 18 in Devils Lake. In between, sessions are scheduled in Minot, Dickinson, Fargo, Jamestown, Williston and Grand Forks. A detailed schedule can be found at http://www.nd.gov/ndda/ .

Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring says most of the proposed changes make rules easier to read and understand, but some are more substantial.
