Jamestown College Choir Home Concert is at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. James Basilica. There is no admission charge.
Jamestown Middle School spring band concert is at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Jamestown Middle School gymnasium. There is no admission charge.
A Show Choir Festival featuring high school vocal groups from Jamestown, Valley City and Wahpeton is at 7 p.m. Friday at the High School. There is no admission charge.
A jam session with the Whoever Can Come Band is at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Barnes County Historical Society, 315 Central Ave. N, Valley City. There is no admission charge.
Jamestown Community Open Mic is at 7 p.m. every fourth Tuesday at Grace Episcopal Church, 405 Second Ave. NE. All performers are welcome.
Around Town
Wood carving with a local wood carving group is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays in the Arts Center’s Hansen Studio. There is no charge. Call Andy Kudrna at 320-5075 with questions.
Open swimming is from 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays at the Jamestown High School pool. Those under 12 must be accompanied by a parent. There is no admission charge.
Public skating is from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Wilson Arena. Cost is $2 for children, $3 for adults and $5 for families and rentals are $2.
Special Events
“Music Legends,” the annual Jamesriver Figure Skating Club ice show, is at 7 p.m. March 23-24 and 2 p.m. March 24-25 at Wilson Arena. Tickets are $9 for adults and $7 for students, free for preschoolers. Tickets can be purchased in advance at Country Gardens, Hugo’s, from any skater or by calling 269-2604. Tickets can also be purchased at the door.
“The NDWS: 75 Years and Counting,” a lecture on the North Dakota Winter Show by Ralph Metcalf and Marian Gerntholz, is at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Barnes County Historical Society, 315 Central Ave. N, Valley City. There is no admission charge.

National Buffalo Museum hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday by appointment only. Admission: $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and AAA members, $10 for a family and $1 for children ages 6 to 18.
Alfred Dickey Library hours are 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. To access the Story Line, call 252-7464. The library is located at 105 Third St. SE.
Stutsman County Library hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The library is located at 910 Fifth St. S.E.
The Arts Center, 213 Second Ave. NW, Jamestown, is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and by appointment Sunday. There is no admission charge.
The Putnam House in Carrington is open for special events and by appointment by calling 701-652-2090. There is no admission charge.
The Barnes County Historical Museum, 315 Central Ave. N., Valley City, is open year round from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Admission is a freewill donation.
The Ronald Reagan Minuteman Missile Historic Site near Cooperstown is open by appointment only for the winter season. Contact Mark Sundlov at 701-797-3691 for more information.

Pottery Wheel Jump Start, with Tammy Jones, is at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at the Hansen Arts Studio. Cost is $55 for Arts Center members and $65 for others.
Mosaics, Scenes and Signs, with Molly McLain, is at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Hansen Arts Studio. Cost is $25 for Arts Center members and $35 for others.
Helmut Albrecht’s art is on display at Unison Bank for the month of March. Unison features a new artist is its lobby each month.
