A Fargo woman is accused of being unruly in a bar, including swinging her small dog through the air on its leash.

FARGO (AP) — A Fargo woman is accused of being unruly in a bar, including swinging her small dog through the air on its leash.

Twenty-seven-year-old Kristine Sellie-Hanson was arrested at the Empire Tavern early Thursday on charges including animal cruelty and disorderly conduct. Authorities allege she abused her Lhasa apso in front of bar patrons and was uncooperative with police.

Sellie-Hanson disputes accounts of the incident. She told WDAY-TV that she would never hurt her dog.

The dog was taken to a veterinarian to be checked. Police do not believe it was hurt.
