NDDOC sponsoring Chicago reception

The North Dakota Department of Commerce will sponsor a North Dakota business reception and dinner at The Peninsula Chicago on Thursday. The event will focus on strengthening relationships with businesses that currently have operations in North Dakota, site location advisors who work with companies looking for investment opportunities and targeted professionals with 5-15 years of experience in occupations that match the state’s highest-demand areas. To date, the Bismarck-Mandan Development Association, Devils Lake Region Partnership, Greater Fargo Moorhead Economic Development Corp., Jamestown/ Stutsman Development Corp. and the Minot Area Development Corp. are also sponsoring and hosting the event.

Chicago is one of the state’s target markets due to the number of Illinois-based companies who have operations in North Dakota, along with the number of North Dakotans that have moved to the Chicago area. The North Dakota Business Reception and Dinner will showcase the state’s business climate, as well as the wide variety of career opportunities available across all industry sectors.
