The Jamestown College women’s track and field team and cross country team added another runner with the signing of Sheyenne Stewart of Grangeville High School (Idaho).

Stewart, the daughter of Daniel and Laurie Stewart, runs both distance and hurdles.

“Sheyenne brings a lot of talent and personality to our team,” said JC women’s track and field and cross country coach Jim Clark. “She has done everything for Grangeville that you can athletically do — volleyball, cross country, basketball and track. Sheyenne has a huge upside as she has only run cross country the past two years. She is a good hurdler and is willing to work to get better, That is a good combination. On top of that, Sheyenne is an outstanding student, ranked in the top three in her class.”

Laurie Stewart was a former Jimmie basketball player back in the early 80s — under Clark.

“I could not be happier to have Sheyenne join us at Jamestown College,” said Clark.
