Letter to the editor: Catholic bishops are right to take a stand on birth control
I want to thank the Catholic bishops in the U.S. for their unified stand denouncing the mandate that contraception, sterilization and abortion-inducing drugs be included as free preventative health care for women.By: James Fries, The Jamestown Sun
I want to thank the Catholic bishops in the U.S. for their unified stand denouncing the mandate that contraception, sterilization and abortion-inducing drugs be included as free preventative health care for women.
Along with my wife, I am a volunteer Couple to Couple League Natural Family Planning teacher-in-training. Soon I will have the privilege of helping other couples experience first-hand the goodness of knowing that they can postpone a pregnancy without having to inject their bodies with drugs and/or devices that alter or completely destroy their fertility. My wife and I were blessed with a beautiful baby girl our very first year of marriage.
I am most grateful that the Catholic Church is defending the dignity of women, like my wife, in the public square, and I am privileged to help others understand the beauty, as well as logic, of NFP.
