Zonta to assist in HHH brunch event

Zonta Club of Jamestown will again support Help for Hope and Healing (HHH), Jamestown’s Cancer Support Network. At the club’s March 7 meeting, members voted to again join HHH members in hosting the third annual breast cancer survival brunch. Zontians will prepare and serve the food to those celebrating their own survival with other survivors and their friends and family.

At the club’s March 7 meeting, members voted to again join HHH members in hosting the third annual breast cancer survival brunch. Zontians will prepare and serve the food to those celebrating their own survival with other survivors and their friends and family.

The event, Courageous Women Celebrating Breast Cancer Survival: A Breast Cancer Brunch, is open to anyone who has dealt with or is dealing with breast cancer and their friends and family. It will start at 10 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 523 Fourth Ave. SE in Jamestown. The brunch is free of charge, but tickets are required. Tickets are available at Walz Pharmacy.

Zonta business included: a financial report by Linda Mohn, an submitted update on the success of the Zonta Chilly Fest by event coordinator Lori Listopad, plans for the Chocolate Fantasia to be held April 22 from coordinator Kara Helgeson, and a report from Deb Fischer on the on the Zonta sponsored service project at Jamestown College, “Sex Signals.”

Funds raised by local Zonta events, such as Chilly Fest and Chocolate Fantasia, support local, national and international projects that support women.

Zonta Club of Jamestown will hold its next meeting at 5:30 p.m. April 4 at Gladstone Inn & Suites.
