Gov. Dalrymple to name energy impact coordinator

Gov. Jack Dalrymple is set to announce his appointment to the newly created position of energy impact coordinator for the state.

WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) — Gov. Jack Dalrymple is set to announce his appointment to the newly created position of energy impact coordinator for the state.

Dalrymple will announce who has been named the coordinator at a news conference Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in Williston.

The coordinator will be based in western North Dakota's booming oil patch and will relay residents’ worries and needs directly to Dalrymple's office.

After the announcement, Dalrymple and other local and state officials are expected to tour some of the area's temporary truck routes and housing construction.
