Corneliussen, Schlect recognized

Correctional Officer Joshua Corneliussen was chosen as employee of the month for February for the James River Correctional Center.

Corneliussen has worked for JRCC for slightly more than a year and has become a valuable member of the JRCC team, his supervisors said. He can work any post within the JRCC as well as escort inmates to outside appointments when needed. He keeps staff updated with what is happening when working a housing unit.

Correctional Officer Tyler Schlecht was chosen as employee of the month for March for the JRCC.

Schlecht is currently assigned to the Special Assistance Unit.

He was recognized for displaying professionalism and leadership qualities and remaining calm in stressful situations. His supervisors said he has become a valuable asset to the SAU and JRCC.
