Fargo School Board picks new superintendent

The Fargo School Board is offering one of its principals the superintendent position.

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — The Fargo School Board is offering one of its principals the superintendent position.

KVLY television reports that the board on Friday unanimously voted to pick Davies High School principal Jeff Schatz as the district's new leader.

Current superintendent Rick Buresh is retiring after the school year.

The board and Schatz now need to work out a contract.

Schatz is a graduate of Fargo Public Schools.
