FARGO (AP) — Fargo residents will vote later this year on extending a half-cent city sales tax.
The tax would last 20 years, supporting infrastructure and flood mitigation projects in North Dakota’s largest city. It would replace a tax that expires in June.
City commissioners voted last week to put the proposal on the June primary ballot. If it passes, the tax will take effect in January. It would generate about $10 million per year.
