County officials OK Belfield oil waste facility
Stark County commissioners have approved an Oklahoma company's plans to build an oil waste facility near the southwest North Dakota town of Belfield.
BELFIELD, N.D. (AP) — Stark County commissioners have approved an Oklahoma company's plans to build an oil waste facility near the southwest North Dakota town of Belfield.
Neighbors of the proposed Location Services Inc. facility have voiced worries about an increase in truck traffic and possible drainage problems.
The Dickinson Press reports that county officials approved the facility after studying its potential for environmental harm.
