Man pleads guilty to child porn charges
A Grand Forks man has pleaded guilty to four charges related to receiving and possessing child pornography.
FARGO (AP) — A Grand Forks man has pleaded guilty to four charges related to receiving and possessing child pornography.
U.S. Attorney Timothy Purdon said 52-year-old Darrel Duane Bina entered the plea in the U.S. District Court on Wednesday.
Prosecutors said more than 150 video files and 2,900 image files depicting children engaging in sexually explicit conduct were found on Bina’s computer in November. He was charged with three counts of receipt of materials involving sexual exploitation of minors and one count of possessing materials involving exploitation of minors.
Sentencing is scheduled for July 9.
The case was investigated by the Grand Forks Police Department, the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement — Homeland Security Investigations.
