JCCO to present concerts next week
The Jamestown College Chamber Orchestra and Valley City Civic Orchestra will present concerts in both Valley City and Jamestown. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Valley City State University’s Vangstad Auditorium and 7:30 p.m. April 14 in Jamestown College’s Voorhees Chapel. Both performances are free and open to the public.

The program includes selections from Beethoven’s Symphony No. 1, Dvorak’s Symphony No. 9 “From the New World,” Gliere’s “Russian Sailors’ Dance,” Strommen’s “Prairie Song,” Shore’s Symphonic Suite from “Lord of the Rings — The Two Towers,” and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Phantom of the Opera Suite.”
Musicians are Christopher Koppinger and Katie Stumpf, both Bismarck; Lyle Hager, Christine; Brandon Gray, Dickinson; Katelin Wadeson, Fingal; Emily Greuel, Grand Forks; Timothy Bratton, Erin Klein, Justine Pringle, Mary Reed, Stephen Reed, Mariah Westerhausen and Laurel Woiwode, all Jamestown; Bruce Rau, Medina; Thomas Zinke, Rolla; Rosalyn Bruhschwein, Rick Clark, Whitney Dawes, Beth Klingenstein, Charlie Kreidelcamp, Mary Kreidelcamp, Gilbert Kuipers, Hannah Paulson, Sarah Paulson, Margaret Ptacek, Sarah Schauer, Hilde Van Gijssel, Kirci Wagner and Kathryn Woehl, all Valley City; Courtney Pederson, West Fargo; Ariel Oster, Wimbledon; David Burges, Anchorage, Alaska; Tom Conmay, Bremerton, Wash; and Erin Delo, Kent, Wash.
The ensembles perform under the direction of Dr. James Adams, director of the Valley City Civic Orchestra, and Benjamin Schneider, director of Bands and Orchestra at Jamestown College.
