Female falcon returns to Fargo without her mate

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A female peregrine falcon that has nested on a downtown Fargo bank building since 2008 has returned this spring but her mate has not.
Local falcon enthusiast Wickham Corwin tells The Forum newspaper that the male named Dakota Ace is nearly 15 years old and might not have survived the winter.
Dakota Ace has come to Fargo in the spring since 2000, and Corwin says the bird still might show up. But he says with each day that passes, there is less reason for optimism.
Corwin says that if Dakota Ace doesn't arrive, it's possible another male will fly in to mate with Miracle.
