Company plans crude pipeline from North Dakota's Oil Patch to Oklahoma

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — An Oklahoma natural gas gathering and processing company says it plans to enter the crude oil business by building a $1.8 billion pipeline from North Dakota to the nation's biggest storage terminal in Cushing, Okla.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — An Oklahoma natural gas gathering and processing company says it plans to enter the crude oil business by building a $1.8 billion pipeline from North Dakota to the nation's biggest storage terminal in Cushing, Okla.

Tulsa-based Oneok Partners LP announced the Bakken Crude Express Pipeline project on Monday. The company says the 1,300-mile pipeline would have the capacity to move 200,000 barrels of crude daily from North Dakota's rich Oil Patch to the hub in central Oklahoma.

Oneok says supply commitments for the proposed pipeline are being negotiated. The company says the pipeline could be operating in early 2015.
