The Jamestown Planning Commission dealt with plats in the city during two public hearings during its regular meeting Monday.

The commission waived the necessity for a preliminary approval and granted final approval for a replat of two lots in Walicski First Extension. The replat enlarged two lots to meet current codes regarding the minimum size of a lot with a septic system. The plat now goes to the Jamestown City Council for final approval.

Preliminary approval was granted to a new plat in northern Jamestown. Alana Addition is located on what is now open land just south of the Stutsman County Fairgrounds. The preliminary approval was granted unanimously with final approval pending a review by the city engineering department.
