Man pleads not guilty to charge

A Jamestown man pleaded not guilty Monday in Southeast District Court to a charge of child abuse, a Class C felony.
Timothy Eugene Radtke, age 37 or 38, whose address is unknown, waived his preliminary hearing before Judge James Hovey.
Radtke is accused of striking a child multiple times on or about March 3, causing a black eye and other injuries.
No trial date has been set for Radtke, who remains free on bond.
A Class C felony is punishable by five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.
