BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Republican Rick Berg holds the edge over Democrat Heidi Heitkamp in North Dakota's U.S. Senate fundraising derby.
A Berg spokesman told The Associated Press that Berg has raised $943,000 in the last three months, and more than $2.7 million for his campaign so far.
Heitkamp's Federal Election Commission report shows she raised $590,000 during January, February and March.
She has gotten just over $1 million in campaign donations since Heitkamp started her race last November.
Heitkamp's report says she had almost $850,000 in her campaign treasury at the end of March. Berg had almost $1.6 million.
Heitkamp will be running this fall against the winner of a Republican primary between Berg and Bismarck businessman Duane Sand.
Campaign disclosure reports aren't due until Sunday.
