Loboes drop a pair to Vikings

The LaMoure-Litchville-Marion Loboes fell in a pair of Class B baseball games to the Kindred-Richland Vikings in Kindred on Thursday.

In the seven-inning Region 1 contest, Vikings’ starting pitcher Sean Case allowed 2-hits while striking out nine in an 8-0 Kindred-Richland victory. Eric Bachmeier went 2-for-3 with a run scored, Zach Nelson went 2-for-4 with 2 runs and Austin Dahlgren went 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored and 3 RBIs for the Vikings.

Tanner Carlson shouldered the loss for the Loboes, allowing seven runs on nine hits.

In the five-inning, non-region nightcap, the Vikings won 4-1 behind a triple and 2 runs scored by Nelson. Jared Meiklejohn, Brady Thielges, Tyler Thielges, Carlson and Quinn Alo all picked up a hit for the Loboes.

LaMoure-L-M is currently 1-5 overall, and 0-2 in Region 1 play.
