Damage reported in two-car crash

There was more than $6,000 in estimated damage following a Monday crash, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

There was more than $6,000 in estimated damage following a Monday crash, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

The crash happened around 11:10 a.m. at the intersection of First Avenue South and Second Street Southeast.

Seth Burkle, 19, 1411 16th St. SE, was driving a 1996 Mazda westbound on Second Street approaching the intersection of First Street.

Courtney Peter, 26, 1218 Sixth Ave. NE #304, was driving a 1999 Dodge northbound on First Avenue approaching the intersection Second Street.

Peter struck Burkle.

No injuries were reported and both drivers were wearing their seat belts.

There was an estimated $1,200 in damage to the Mazda and $5,000 to the Dodge.

Peter was cited for disobey steady red signal.
