Loboes notch a pair of wins
The Loboes of LaMoure-Litchville/Marion picked up their first Region 1 victory of the young Class B high school baseball season in Enderlin on Tuesday.
The Loboes of LaMoure-Litchville/Marion picked up their first Region 1 victory of the young Class B high school baseball season in Enderlin on Tuesday.
Jared Meiklejohn pitched seven solid innings, allowing just 2 runs on 6 hits, as he helped the Loboes to a 7-2 victory over the Enderlin/Maple Valley Falcons.
The Loboes jumped out to a quick 3-1 advantage after the first. Kenny Hodem went 1-for-1 with 3 walks, a double and 2 runs scored, while Tyler Thielges went 1-for-3 with a double, 2 runs scored, 2 RBIs and a walk. Tanner Carlson also drove in a run and scored for LaMoure-L/M.
Spencer Gillund went 1-for-3 with an RBI for the Falcons.
In the non-region contest, Brady Thielges took to the mound for the Loboes and gave up just 2 runs on 2 hits, while walking three and striking out two, as the Loboes won 5-2 in five innings.
LaMoure-L/M improved to 3-5 overall and 1-2 in Region 1 play with the victories.
