Jasmine Moffett of Fargo Davies has signed to play basketball and compete in track and field at Jamestown College.
A 2-time all-EDC performer in basketball, she averaged 11.7 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists last season.
“We are very excited to have Jasmine join the Jimmie family,” JC basketball coach Greg Ulland said. “She has the ability to play multiple positions for us due to her athleticism and height, causing mismatches for opponents.
“Jasmine is a great fit for JC, she is a tremendous student, a class act on and off the floor.”
The daughter of Ellie and Darrin Moffett, she maintains a GPA of 3.91 and plans to study physical therapy/sports medicine at JC.
In track, she throws the javelin and shot and also competes in the high jump. She placed third at the East Region meet in the high jump and fourth in javelin in 2011.
“I am happy that Jasmine is going to get a chance to continue in two sports in college. I think she has untapped potential in both,” JC women’s track coach Jim Clark said. “Jasmine will be a wonderful addition to Jamestown College and to the teams she will become a part of.”
