Lee was inspired by Buddy Holly’s music. At the age of 7 he won a Holly lookalike lip sync contest. He has since made a name for himself performing at ’50s style dances and clubs. In addition to performing Holly’s music, he also pays tribute to Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Chuck Berry, Ricky Nelson and Eddie Cochran.
Songs in his program include “Peggy Sue,” “That’ll Be the Day,
“It’s So Easy,” “Don’t Be Cruel,” “La Bamba” and more.
This program is sponsored by the Sheyenne Fine Arts Association and a grant from the North Dakota Council on the Arts which receives funding from the state Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts.
All K-12 students are admitted free. Tickets are available at the door for $15.
