FARGO, N.D. (AP) — An eastern North Dakota man has pleaded not guilty to charges including manslaughter in a vehicle rollover crash that killed a passenger.

Authorities allege that 25-year-old Keagan Haas, of Page, had been drinking and taking prescription pills before driving a Suburban off State Highway 18 in Cass County last Nov. 5. The Highway Patrol says the vehicle went in the ditch, vaulted over an approach, struck a stop sign while airborne and landed in a field, where it rolled.

The crash killed 30-year-old passenger Joshua Melvin, of Page. Haas and a passenger from West Fargo were injured.
